Delhi – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has confirmed that it will organise a structured backup leadership framework for its upcoming protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10. The party said three separate contingency plans are being drafted to ensure the demonstration proceeds smoothly even if activists are detained.
According to party officials, the protest is aimed at challenging recent decisions of the Election Commission, which AAP claims undermine free and fair elections. The backup leadership will coordinate logistics, communication and legal support for participants.
AAP leaders emphasized that the movement will not be halted by arrests, signalling a resolve to sustain pressure on the commission. Police presence and security arrangements are being monitored, but the party insists the protest will remain peaceful and within constitutional bounds.
