YouTube has announced a partnership with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) to stream the 2027 awards ceremony globally, offering fans worldwide access to the event.
YouTube has entered into a partnership with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) to stream the 2027 awards ceremony worldwide. The deal will see the event live on YouTube, making it accessible to viewers across all continents.
Under the agreement, IIFA will provide exclusive streaming rights to YouTube, allowing fans to watch the ceremony in real time without the need for a paid subscription. The platform will host the event on its dedicated IIFA channel, ensuring high‑definition quality and interactive features such as live chat and viewer polls.
The IIFA Awards, held annually to honor excellence in Indian cinema, have traditionally attracted a global audience. By moving to YouTube, the academy aims to broaden its reach and engage younger viewers who prefer online streaming over traditional television.
Industry analysts predict that the partnership could boost YouTube’s viewership in the entertainment segment and set a new standard for how film awards are distributed worldwide.
