Youth electrocuted on 33kV pole in Jaipur industrial area, rescued by police

A man, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, climbed a 33 kV high‑tension pole in Jaipur’s industrial zone on Sunday morning and suffered severe burns from electric shock. Constable Sunil Kumar, with assistance from locals, pulled him down and provided first aid.
On Sunday morning, a man reportedly intoxicated with alcohol climbed a 33 kV high‑tension pole situated in the industrial belt of Jaipur. While attempting to reach the top, he came into contact with the live conductor and suffered extensive burns.
Local residents who heard the commotion alerted nearby police. Constable Sunil Kumar arrived promptly and, together with the by‑standers, managed to lower the victim safely to the ground. The injured youth was then handed over to emergency services for medical attention.
Police officials confirmed that the victim is alive and receiving treatment for electric‑burn injuries. No fatalities were reported, and the power line was temporarily switched off to facilitate the rescue.
Authorities have reiterated the danger of tampering with high‑tension equipment and urged the public to refrain from such risky behavior, especially under the influence of alcohol.
