Two teenage writers from the hill town of Rohru have recently attracted attention for their debut works, signaling a fresh literary voice from the region.
Their first books, which explore themes of rural life, aspirations and the challenges faced by young people in the mountains, have been praised by teachers and local readers for authenticity and clarity of expression.
The authors say they hope their stories will encourage more youngsters in Himachal to pick up pens, and local literary clubs are already planning workshops to nurture emerging talent.
