The Youth Muslim Association has called for stringent policies to manage refugee influx and curb illegal cross‑border trade, urging the government to act swiftly.
The Youth Muslim Association (YMA), a national civil‑society group, issued a statement on Tuesday demanding that the government introduce tighter immigration controls to manage the growing refugee influx. The organization also highlighted the need to clamp down on illegal cross‑border trade that has been reported along several frontier points. YMA urged the Ministry of Home Affairs to enforce stricter visa regulations and increase surveillance at key checkpoints. It added that better coordination with security agencies could reduce smuggling and protect local communities.
