The state’s meteorological department has placed a yellow alert for strong winds and rain across 14 districts of Bihar, with a detailed forecast for Patna through November 5.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 14 districts in Bihar, warning of gusty winds and intermittent showers over the next few days. The alert, which covers districts such as Patna, Muzaffarpur, and Bhagalpur, is intended to keep the public aware of potentially hazardous conditions.

For Patna, the capital city, the forecast predicts continued cloud cover with scattered thunderstorms and wind speeds reaching up to 45 km/h until November 5. Temperatures are expected to hover between 22°C and 28°C, with humidity remaining high.

Authorities have urged residents to avoid standing under trees, open structures, or near electricity poles during the storm. Schools and outdoor events may be postponed if conditions worsen, and commuters are advised to exercise caution while traveling on exposed roads.

The yellow alert will be reviewed daily, and a higher warning level may be issued if the weather deteriorates further.
