The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning across parts of Himachal Pradesh, warning of moderate weather hazards.
A yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning has been announced for several districts of Himachal Pradesh. The alert, issued by the national weather agency, signals a moderate risk of severe weather conditions in the affected zones.
Under a yellow alert, meteorologists anticipate frequent lightning strikes, heavy rain showers and gusty winds that could disrupt daily activities. While the situation is not expected to reach the severity of an orange or red warning, authorities advise heightened vigilance.
Residents are urged to limit outdoor exposure, secure loose objects, and stay updated through local news and official bulletins. Emergency services remain on standby to respond to any incidents arising from the storm activity.
