The World Waterpark Association presented an award recognizing Vietnam’s rapid rise in the aquatic entertainment industry, highlighting new waterparks and innovative attractions across the country.
The World Waterpark Association (WWA) announced an award this week that celebrates Vietnam’s expanding aquatic entertainment market. The accolade acknowledges the country’s surge in new water parks, cutting‑edge slide designs, and family‑friendly attractions that have drawn both domestic and regional tourists.
Industry analysts attribute the growth to increased private investment, supportive government policies, and a rising middle class eager for leisure experiences. Several Vietnamese operators have recently opened state‑of‑the‑art facilities in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and coastal resorts, positioning the nation as a competitive player in Southeast Asia’s water‑park segment.
WWA officials said the award underscores Vietnam’s commitment to safety standards, sustainability and guest experience, setting a benchmark for emerging markets. The association plans to feature Vietnam’s success stories in its upcoming global conference, encouraging further collaboration and knowledge sharing among members.
Stakeholders expect the recognition to boost visitor numbers and attract additional foreign capital, reinforcing the sector’s contribution to Vietnam’s tourism revenue and job creation.
