Jehanabad police solved the murder of Kamlesh Kumar within 24 hours, arresting his wife, brother‑in‑law and four additional suspects, and seized a sharp rod, two motorcycles and eight mobile phones.
Police in Jehanabad, Bihar, announced that they have uncovered the murder of 45‑year‑old Kamlesh Kumar within a day of the incident. The investigation led to the arrest of six individuals, including the victim's wife, her brother‑in‑law and four other accomplices.
The arrested suspects were taken into custody at the Jehanabad police station after investigators linked them to the crime scene. Among those detained were the wife, identified only as the primary conspirator, her brother‑in‑law, and a man named Sadu, along with three additional persons whose identities were not disclosed.
During the raid, officers recovered a pointed metal rod believed to be the murder weapon, two motorcycles that were allegedly used for the getaway, and eight mobile phones that may contain incriminating communications. The seized items have been forwarded to the forensic lab for further analysis.
Authorities said the motive appears to be a family dispute, but the exact reasons remain under investigation. The case will be presented before the local court, and the suspects are expected to be remanded in custody pending trial.
