The West Indies edged India by 24 runs in the fourth T20, drawing the five‑match series level at 2‑2.
Mumbai, Oct 15 (News On AIR) – In the fourth Twenty20 International of the series, the West Indies secured a 24‑run victory over India, bringing the five‑match contest to a 2‑2 deadlock. The Caribbean side posted a competitive total, which the Indian batting line‑up could not chase despite a late surge.
India’s top order struggled against disciplined bowling, losing early wickets that put pressure on the middle order. A partnership in the latter overs narrowed the gap, but fell short of the required run rate, leaving India 24 runs behind at the end of the 20 overs.
The win restores parity in the series, setting up a decisive final match that will determine the overall winner. Both teams will now focus on fine‑tuning strategies ahead of the concluding game.
The match, played under clear skies, attracted a sizable crowd, underscoring the growing interest in T20 cricket between the two nations.
The series remains a key fixture in the international calendar, offering both sides a platform to assess player form ahead of upcoming tournaments.
