The West Bengal border security force was presented with a state-level award following an official visit to the border town of Hingalganj.
West Bengal’s border security personnel received a state award in a ceremony held after an official inspection of the Hingalganj border area. The award was conferred by state authorities to recognise the force’s consistent performance in safeguarding the state’s frontiers.
During the recent visit to Hingalganj, senior officials inspected patrol routes, infrastructure and community liaison efforts. The inspection highlighted the unit’s ability to deter cross‑border infiltration and support local residents in a sensitive region.
The recognition underscores the government’s focus on strengthening border management and morale among security cadres. Officials said the award will encourage continued vigilance and cooperation with neighboring jurisdictions.
