West Bengal Women and Child Development Minister has called for enhanced implementation of welfare schemes to ensure they reach the state's remotest regions.

The West Bengal Women and Child Development Minister has urged the state government to intensify efforts to ensure welfare schemes reach the remotest corners of the state.

In a statement released by the ministry, the minister highlighted gaps in the current rollout and called for stronger coordination between district officials and frontline workers.

Key programmes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, the National Child Survival Programme and various state‑level subsidies were mentioned as needing better implementation.

The minister emphasized that a focused approach would help bridge the reach gap and improve outcomes for women and children in underserved areas.
