Waterlogging at Fazilka Market Prompted Appeal to Central Government, Jalandhar Reports

Heavy rain and inadequate drainage have caused water to pool in the Fazilka agricultural market, disrupting the movement of produce and affecting traders. Local officials in Jalandhar district recorded the extent of the flooding and noted that the market’s infrastructure could not cope with the excess water.

The district administration submitted a formal request to the central government, seeking immediate remedial measures and financial assistance for repair work. Authorities highlighted the potential impact on the agricultural supply chain if the situation remains unresolved.
