The slasher film 'Cult' starring Vishwak Sen earned a total of Rs 2.90 crore globally on its second day of release, according to box‑office data.
Vishwak Sen's latest venture, the slasher thriller "Cult," continued its theatrical run on Saturday, registering a cumulative worldwide gross of Rs 2.90 crore after two days of release. The film, which opened earlier in the week, is being tracked by trade analysts for its performance in both domestic and overseas markets.
The Rs 2.90 crore figure represents the total earnings from all territories combined, reflecting ticket sales from Indian multiplexes as well as international screens where the movie is being shown. No separate breakdown of day‑one and day‑two collections has been disclosed, but the combined total underscores a steady audience interest in the horror‑drama genre.
Industry observers note that a two‑day worldwide collection of this magnitude is a positive indicator for a mid‑budget Indian thriller, especially given the competitive release calendar. The film's performance will be closely monitored in the coming days to gauge its staying power at the box office.
If the trend continues, "Cult" could secure a respectable run, contributing to Vishwak Sen's growing reputation as a versatile lead actor in genre cinema.
