Virat Kohli drops from second spot in ICC ODI batting rankings after consecutive ducks against West Indies
Virat Kohli slipped from second to a lower position in the ICC ODI batting rankings following back-to-back zero scores in the series against the West Indies.
Virat Kohli has fallen from the second position in the ICC One Day International (ODI) batting rankings after recording consecutive ducks in the ongoing series against the West Indies. The back-to-back dismissals without scoring have impacted his ranking points, causing a drop from his previous standing.
The ICC rankings, which are updated after each match, reflected the change immediately, moving Kohli down the list of top ODI batsmen. Analysts noted that while a single low score can affect rankings, a series of zero scores amplifies the impact.
Kohli, a former world number one, will look to regain his position in upcoming matches. The shift underscores the competitive nature of international cricket rankings, where performance consistency is crucial.
The West Indies series continues, and Kohli's performance will be closely watched by fans and commentators alike as he aims to bounce back and improve his standing in the global rankings.
