A limited-edition vinyl record of the patriotic anthem 'Vande Mataram' has been launched, marking 121 years since the song’s original composition.
The timeless patriotic hymn "Vande Mataram," originally penned in 1882, has been issued on vinyl for the first time in more than a century. The launch, announced by the publishing label, coincides with the 121st anniversary of the song’s creation and aims to introduce the classic to a new generation of music enthusiasts.
Collectors and history buffs alike have welcomed the release, noting that the analog format offers a tactile listening experience that digital streams cannot replicate. The record features the original melody, preserving the song’s historic arrangement while providing high-fidelity sound quality.
Industry observers suggest that the move reflects a broader resurgence of vinyl in India, where niche audiences are seeking nostalgic formats for culturally significant works. The limited run is expected to sell out quickly, underscoring the enduring emotional resonance of "Vande Mataram" across the nation.
