Varun Dhawan discussed a perceived 'jinx' regarding hit comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh on Koffee With Karan 9, stating he prefers the steady career path of Ajay Devgn.
Actor Varun Dhawan recently opened up about the pressures of industry comparisons during an appearance on the popular talk show 'Koffee With Karan 9'. He addressed the frequent comparisons made between his film successes and those of his contemporaries, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
Dhawan referred to these comparisons as a "jinx," suggesting that constantly measuring his career against the massive box-office numbers of his peers creates unnecessary pressure. He emphasized that such comparisons can be detrimental to an actor's peace of mind and professional growth.
Instead of chasing the same trajectory, Dhawan expressed admiration for the career path of veteran actor Ajay Devgn. He stated that it is better to be like Devgn, who has maintained a consistent and respected career over the years, rather than being defined by hit-or-miss trends. This perspective highlights Dhawan's focus on long-term stability over short-term commercial spikes.
