Uttarakhand University Cancels Provisional MBBS Seats of 15 Candidates Over Invalid Certificates

The University of Uttarakhand has withdrawn provisional MBBS admissions for 15 candidates after their academic certificates were found to be invalid.
The University of Uttarakhand announced that provisional admission offers for the MBBS programme have been cancelled for fifteen candidates. A routine verification of academic documents revealed that the certificates submitted by the candidates did not meet the university’s authenticity criteria. Consequently, the university has withdrawn the provisional seats and informed the affected students of the decision.
The university’s admission cell said that the verification process is part of its standard protocol to ensure that all entrants meet the regulatory standards set by the Medical Council of India and the state health authorities. Candidates whose certificates were deemed invalid are advised to re‑apply after rectifying the discrepancies.
The move underscores the institution’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of medical education and preventing entry of unqualified candidates into the profession.
