The state of Uttarakhand will conduct special Gram Sabhas across its districts on October 2 to discuss local development issues and gather citizen feedback.
The government of Uttarakhand has announced that special Gram Sabhas will be convened in all districts on October 2. These meetings aim to provide a platform for residents to voice concerns and receive updates on ongoing projects. The schedule will be released by the district administrations in the coming days.
Officials expect the gatherings to strengthen community participation in local governance. Participants will include elected representatives, village panchayat members, and ordinary citizens. The focus will be on transparency and accountability in public spending.
The state’s Election Commission has confirmed that the Gram Sabhas will follow the guidelines set for public consultations. No additional resources or special funding have been disclosed for these meetings.
Residents are encouraged to attend the sessions scheduled at their respective village councils to contribute to decision‑making processes.
