Uttarakhand Issues Yellow Alert for Heavy Rain and Gusty Winds in Eight Districts

The Uttarakhand government has issued a yellow alert for eight districts in response to forecasts of heavy rainfall and gusty winds. A yellow alert signals that conditions may become hazardous and advises residents to take precautionary measures. Authorities have urged people to stay indoors, secure loose objects, and avoid unnecessary travel. Local police and disaster management teams are on standby to assist if needed.

The alert covers a broad area of the state, and officials have requested that schools, offices, and public transport services remain vigilant. Residents are encouraged to monitor local weather updates and follow instructions from district authorities. The alert is expected to remain in effect until the weather stabilizes.

This precautionary step follows a pattern of severe weather in the region during the monsoon season, prompting the state to act swiftly to safeguard lives and property.
