Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a new coaching initiative aimed at preparing persons with disabilities for the civil services exam.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched a government‑backed coaching program for persons with disabilities at a ceremony in Dehradun on Tuesday.
The initiative, free of cost, will provide structured training and mock tests to help participants qualify for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Training centers will be set up across the state, and candidates will receive assistance with study materials, adaptive learning tools and exam‑day support.
"This programme is a step towards inclusive education and equal opportunities for all," Dhami said, emphasizing the state’s commitment to empowering differently‑abled citizens.
Applicants can register through the official Uttarakhand government portal. The first batch of coaching sessions is scheduled to begin in September, with a total of 200 seats earmarked for the program.
