The Uttar Pradesh government has given the green light to industrial enclave projects valued at ₹480 crore, aiming to boost manufacturing and employment in the state.
The Uttar Pradesh administration has approved a set of industrial enclave projects with a total investment of ₹480 crore. The decision, announced by the state cabinet, is intended to create dedicated zones for manufacturing and related activities across the region.
These enclaves are expected to house a mix of small, medium and large enterprises, focusing on sectors such as textiles, food processing, engineering and electronics. By clustering firms in specialized zones, the government hopes to achieve economies of scale, improve infrastructure utilization and attract private capital.
State officials indicated that the projects will be implemented through a public‑private partnership model, with land allocation and basic utilities provided by the government. The enclaves are slated to become operational within the next two years, subject to completion of necessary clearances.
The move aligns with broader state initiatives to enhance industrial output and generate employment, complementing national programmes like "Make in India". Authorities anticipate that the enclaves will create thousands of jobs and contribute significantly to Uttar Pradesh's Gross State Domestic Product.
