Officials said the rollout will begin in the coming months, with the first batch of buses expected in major cities such as Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi.
The move is part of the state's broader push to modernise public transport and meet national targets for electric mobility.
The government will also provide incentives for local manufacturers and encourage private sector participation in the supply chain.
