Uttar Pradesh’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority has introduced a new rule mandating that realtors obtain digital certificates from architects, engineers and chartered accountants.
The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has issued a new directive that will affect all registered real estate developers and agents operating in the state.
Under the updated regulation, every project must now be accompanied by digital certificates issued by a licensed architect, a certified engineer and a chartered accountant. These certificates will serve as proof that the design, structural integrity and financial aspects of the development meet the statutory standards.
The move is intended to enhance transparency and reduce disputes between buyers and developers. Real estate professionals who fail to comply will face penalties and may be barred from conducting transactions until the required documents are submitted.
