Union Minister Jitendra Singh inaugurated a workplace creche and a blood donation camp at Kartavya Bhawan‑3 in Delhi, aiming to support employee welfare and encourage community health participation.
Delhi – Union Minister Jitendra Singh presided over the opening ceremony of a new workplace creche and a blood donation camp at Kartavya Bhawan‑3 on Monday. The facility, set up within the government office complex, is intended to provide childcare support for staff members and to promote regular blood donation among employees.
During the event, the minister highlighted the twin goals of enhancing work‑life balance for government workers and strengthening the nation’s blood reserves. He noted that such initiatives align with the central government’s broader agenda of employee welfare and public health safety.
The creche, equipped with age‑appropriate toys and trained caregivers, will operate during office hours, allowing parents to focus on their duties. Simultaneously, the blood donation camp, organized in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Council, will collect voluntary donations throughout the day, with the aim of meeting local hospital requirements.
Officials said the program will be reviewed periodically to assess its impact on staff productivity and community health outcomes, and similar models may be replicated in other ministries.
