The Punjab Cricket Association has inaugurated the Under-17 women's cricket camp in Mohali as preparations begin for the 70th National School Games.
Mohali, Punjab – The Punjab Cricket Association officially opened the training camp for the Under-17 women’s cricket squad on Monday, marking the first step in the build‑up to the 70th National School Games scheduled later this year.
The camp, hosted at the Punjab Cricket Academy, will run for ten days and includes daily net sessions, fitness drills and tactical workshops overseen by senior coaches and former national players. Selections for the final tournament squad will be made based on performance during this period.
Officials said the initiative aims to nurture young talent from schools across the state and give them exposure to high‑performance standards before they compete at the national level. The team is expected to represent Punjab at the upcoming games, where women's cricket will feature prominently.
