UGC NET Aspirants Question Answer Key, NTA Process Under Scrutiny

After the recent UGC NET examination, a group of aspirants and faculty members reported that a number of questions appeared ambiguous or incorrect, prompting calls for a review of the test paper. They submitted a list of disputed items to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the body that conducts the exam, and asked for clarification on the official answer key.

The complainants also pointed out inconsistencies between the recorded responses in the digital system and the answer key released by NTA, arguing that the current challenge mechanism lacks transparency and does not allow candidates to contest specific items effectively. Several teachers who coach NET candidates echoed the same concerns, noting that the ambiguity could affect the final ranking of thousands of test‑takers.

NTA has acknowledged receipt of the grievances but has not yet issued a revised key or detailed explanation of its verification process. Stakeholders are awaiting a formal response, while the controversy continues to dominate discussions on social media and among academic circles.
