Udhampur DC Launches Kiwi Growers' Exposure Tour to Arunachal Pradesh

Udhampur District Collector inaugurated an exposure tour for a select group of progressive kiwi growers, sending them to Arunachal Pradesh for a field study of advanced horticultural practices. The delegation, comprising experienced cultivators from the Udhampur region, aims to learn about high‑altitude kiwi farming techniques that have boosted yields in the northeastern state. Officials from the agriculture departments of both Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh will facilitate interactions with local growers and research institutions. The tour is part of a broader effort to diversify horticulture in the Jammu region and improve farmer incomes through knowledge exchange. Participants are expected to return with actionable insights that could be adapted to the climatic conditions of Udhampur's kiwi orchards.
