Udaipur Operation Sees 133,000 Illegal Cannabis Plants Destroyed

The Narcotics Control Bureau, the Anti Narcotics Task Force and Rajasthan Police carried out a coordinated operation in Mandwa village, Kotda tehsil, Udaipur district, on Tuesday. Intelligence reports had identified 56 khusra numbers—local land parcels—cultivating large-scale cannabis. The teams surveyed the area and confirmed the presence of approximately 133,000 illegal plants. Using approved eradication methods, the authorities destroyed the crops and confiscated related equipment. The operation is part of Rajasthan’s ongoing campaign to curb drug cultivation in the state.
