According to a report by Amar Ujala, an incident unfolded in the Saria police‑station jurisdiction of Muzaffarpur where two young men on a motorcycle approached a local businessman.
The duo claimed to be police officers and, invoking the authority of law enforcement, persuaded the businessman to surrender a gold chain weighing about 20 grams and a gold ring of roughly 10 grams.
Police officials are now investigating the matter as a case of impersonation and theft, and the victims have been asked to file formal complaints to aid the inquiry.
