Two Young Bikers Killed in High‑Speed Truck Collision on Mahatma Gandhi Setu, Vaishali

Late Saturday night, a truck travelling at high speed collided with a motorcycle on the eastern lane of Mahatma Gandhi Setu near marker 26, in Bihar's Vaishali district. The two riders, who were heading towards Marine Drive in Patna, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police officials arrived promptly and cordoned off the bridge to investigate the cause of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest the truck was exceeding the speed limit, but a full inquiry will determine whether driver negligence or mechanical failure contributed.

The incident has heightened concerns over traffic safety on the busy bridge, which connects Patna and Hajipur and sees heavy commuter flow daily. Authorities have urged motorists to adhere to speed regulations, especially during night hours.
