A two-year-old female tiger escaped from the rust-corroded enclosure at Kota’s Nayapura Zoo after breaking the cage’s wire, prompting officials to form an inquiry committee.
The Nayapura Zoo in Kota, Rajasthan, reported that a two-year-old female tiger managed to force its way out of a deteriorating cage on Monday. The animal was observed breaking the rusted wire mesh that formed the enclosure, after which it slipped into the open area of the zoo premises.
Zoo staff quickly initiated containment procedures, and the tiger was recaptured without injury after a brief search.
In response to the breach, the zoo administration has set up a probe committee to examine the cause of the cage failure, assess safety protocols, and recommend corrective measures to prevent future incidents.
