Police in Chhattisgarh have rescued two girls who had run away from home, officials confirmed.
Chhattisgarh police announced today that they have successfully rescued two teenage girls who had fled from their homes earlier this week. The girls were located after a coordinated search operation involving local law‑enforcement teams and community volunteers.
According to officials, the girls were reported missing by their families on Monday, prompting a rapid response from the district police. Investigators traced their movements through CCTV footage and tips from residents, leading to their apprehension at a remote area on the outskirts of the district.
Police spokesperson said the girls are now in safe custody and will be handed over to their parents after medical checks. The department emphasized its commitment to protecting vulnerable minors and urged the public to report any similar incidents promptly.
