A bizarre two-headed snake with sickle-shaped, wolf-like teeth was discovered in Dahod, Gujarat, startling residents.

Police and forest officials in Dahod district reported the capture of an unusual snake that appeared to have two heads and a set of curved, wolf‑like teeth. The reptile was found in a residential area early Monday, prompting immediate containment by local authorities.

Eyewitnesses described the creature as resembling a typical Indian cobra but with a second head emerging from the mid‑body and a pair of sharp, sickle‑shaped fangs that resembled those of a wolf. Experts from the Gujarat Forest Department were called in to verify the specimen and assess any potential danger to the public.

Preliminary examination confirmed that the snake is a rare case of bicephaly, a congenital anomaly occasionally reported in reptiles. While the condition does not necessarily increase venom potency, officials warned residents to avoid contact until the animal is safely relocated.

The snake has been transferred to a wildlife rehabilitation centre for further study, where herpetologists hope to gather data on the genetic factors behind the deformity. The incident has sparked curiosity on social media, with many asking why such a creature appeared in a populated area.

Authorities assured that there is no ongoing threat and that routine monitoring of local wildlife will continue to prevent similar surprises.
