Two friends killed in hit-and-run crash by speeding car in Indore's Mariamata area

A high-speed car struck two men on an Activa scooter in Mariamata, Indore, killing them despite hospital treatment; the driver fled and also hit two auto-rickshaws and a vendor cart.
Late on Sunday night, a speeding vehicle plowed into an Activa scooter carrying two young men in the Mariamata locality of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The collision caused severe injuries, and the victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency care.
Despite medical intervention, both victims succumbed to their injuries and were declared dead at the hospital. The driver of the car did not stop after the crash; instead, he continued moving and subsequently struck two auto‑rickshaws and a small vendor cart parked on the roadside.
Local police arrived at the scene after receiving reports and have launched a hit‑and‑run investigation. Authorities are canvassing the area for eyewitnesses and CCTV footage to identify the driver and the vehicle involved.
