A head‑on collision between a Mahindra Thar SUV and a truck on the Munger‑Mirza Chowki four‑lane road near Baglapur, Bihar, killed two people.

Baglapur in Bihar witnessed a fatal road accident on the Munger‑Mirza Chowki four‑lane stretch when a Mahindra Thar SUV collided head‑on with a heavy truck. The impact was severe, causing the Thar’s side panels to be ripped off and resulting in the deaths of two occupants.

Local police arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and cordoned off the road to facilitate rescue operations. Emergency services extracted the victims, who were pronounced dead at the site. The remaining occupants of both vehicles were taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when they met at the same point, leading to the direct collision. Authorities have launched a probe to determine whether speed, driver fatigue, or road conditions contributed to the accident. The stretch of road has been temporarily closed for clearing debris and will be reopened once safety checks are completed.

The incident underscores the growing concerns over road safety on high‑speed corridors in Bihar, prompting calls for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and improved driver awareness.
