Police in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, captured two brothers who had fled for eight days after allegedly shooting merchant Sanjay Aggarwal, seizing a 315‑bore rifle.
Satna police announced the arrest of two brothers who were wanted in a case involving the shooting of local businessman Sanjay Aggarwal. The suspects had been on the run for eight days before being located and taken into custody.
The investigation revealed that the accused were in possession of a 315‑bore gun, which was recovered at the time of their arrest. Authorities say the weapon was allegedly used in the attack on the merchant.
Following the operation, the police organized a ceremonial parade, commonly referred to as a "juloos," to publicly present the detained individuals before transferring them to the district jail for further legal proceedings.
The police spokesperson confirmed that the case remains under investigation and that additional evidence will be examined to determine the motive and any accomplices.
No further injuries were reported, and the victim, Sanjay Aggarwal, is receiving medical care while the legal process moves forward.
