Two Bihar GRP personnel have been arrested after a secret video revealed they were withholding seized liquor. The incident highlights internal corruption within the law enforcement agency.
Two constables from the Bihar General Reserve Police (GRP) have been arrested for allegedly hoarding seized contraband liquor. The officers were caught in the act through a secret video recording, which provided concrete evidence of their misconduct. This incident has drawn significant attention to the integrity of the law enforcement personnel in the state.
The secret video reportedly shows the two GRP personnel holding back the seized bottles of liquor, which were meant to be destroyed or stored according to legal procedure. By withholding the contraband, the officers violated their duty and committed a serious offense. The footage served as the primary piece of evidence leading to their immediate arrest.
The arrest of these officers underscores the ongoing efforts by the Bihar police to root out internal corruption. The case serves as a warning to other personnel that any deviation from protocol, especially involving seized goods, will be met with strict disciplinary and legal action. The investigation is likely to continue to determine if there were any other accomplices involved in the scheme.
