Police in Bijnor have arrested two people in a conspiracy to illegally seize 26 bighas of land owned by former MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s late father, Mahendra Nath, in the village of Amikhanpur.

Police in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, arrested two individuals on charges of conspiracy to seize 26 bighas of agricultural land belonging to the late Mahendra Nath, father of former MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath. The land is located in the village of Amikhanpur.

According to court documents, the accused allegedly forged a will and a death certificate to facilitate the transfer of the property. The plot, originally 90 bighas, is now under threat of being unlawfully taken.

A revenue officer and two other persons were named in the report. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are examining the authenticity of the forged documents.

The case has drawn attention due to the involvement of the family of a prominent political figure. Law enforcement officials said they will pursue all legal avenues to recover the land and prosecute those responsible.

The arrested individuals are currently in custody, and the court has scheduled a hearing for the next week.
