The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has detained Kamod Meena and Manraj Meena for allegedly inflating a candidate's OMR score from 35.85 to 183.85 in a Rajasthan Employee Selection Board test.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Rajasthan police arrested two individuals, Kamod Meena and Manraj Meena, on suspicion of tampering with optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets used in a Rajasthan Employee Selection Board (RESB) examination. According to the SIT, the accused altered a candidate's score by adding 35.85 marks, inflating the total to 183.85, thereby giving the applicant an undue advantage.

Investigators said the manipulation was discovered during a routine audit of exam results, which flagged an unusually high score for the candidate. Further forensic analysis of the OMR sheets reportedly confirmed that the marks had been manually altered before being processed by the scanning system.

Both suspects were taken into custody and are being questioned for their role in the fraud. The SIT has also launched a broader inquiry to determine if other candidates or examination centers were affected, and has warned of strict legal action against anyone found complicit in exam malpractice.

The RESB, which conducts recruitment exams for state government jobs, has pledged to strengthen its security protocols and conduct a comprehensive review of its marking procedures to restore public confidence.
