Two Arrested for Assaulting Verka Milk Plant GM and Forcing Rs 2 Lakh Transfer in Ludhiana

Punjab police arrested two suspects in Ludhiana after they assaulted the general manager of Verka Milk Plant, seized his mobile and compelled him to transfer Rs 2 lakh, while three others fled.
The incident unfolded at the Verka Milk Plant in Ludhiana when a group of unidentified men confronted the plant's general manager, physically assaulted him and snatched his mobile phone. The assailants then forced the manager to transfer a sum of two lakh rupees to an account under their control.
Punjab police, acting on the manager's complaint, tracked down two of the perpetrators and placed them in custody. The arrested individuals are currently being interrogated, and the seized mobile phone has been recovered as evidence.
According to a police spokesperson, three additional suspects managed to escape the scene before law enforcement arrived. An intensive search operation has been launched to locate the fugitives, and the case is being treated as a serious criminal offense involving robbery and intimidation.
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities promising to bring all involved persons to justice and to strengthen security measures at the plant to prevent similar incidents in the future.
