The leader TVK secured victories in both recent Tamil Nadu by‑elections, boosting his party's numbers in the state legislative assembly.
TVK emerged victorious in two vacant constituencies in Tamil Nadu during the latest by‑elections, adding both seats to his party's representation in the state assembly. The wins were confirmed by the Election Commission after counting concluded early on Saturday.
The dual victory strengthens the party's legislative foothold ahead of the upcoming state budget session, where a larger assembly presence could influence key policy debates. Analysts note that gaining two seats in a single by‑poll round is a notable boost for any regional party.
Party officials hailed the outcome as a reaffirmation of public support for their development agenda in the state. The results also set the tone for future electoral contests, with opposition parties expected to reassess their strategies in the region.
