TVK candidate breaks down, DMK says Vijay staged drama

During a recent political rally in Tamil Nadu, a candidate representing the TVK party was observed crying on stage. A fellow party member, referred to as "sweet bro," approached the candidate and offered consolation, drawing attention from the crowd. The incident quickly became a talking point among rival parties. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) seized the moment, publicly accusing Vijay, a senior TVK figure, of staging the emotional display to garner sympathy votes. DMK leaders described the episode as a calculated drama rather than a genuine reaction. The TVK camp has not issued an official comment, and the candidate's emotional state remains unverified beyond the on‑stage footage. The episode underscores the heightened tensions and theatrics that often accompany election campaigns in the state.
