Maniesh Paul, a well‑known television presenter, said that several TV channels had requested him to ridicule actress Katrina Kaif for her Hindi language skills.
Maniesh Paul, a veteran television host, recently revealed that a number of TV channels had approached him with a request to mock actress Katrina Kaif’s Hindi language abilities.
Paul, who has hosted a variety of shows over the years, said the suggestion stemmed from a perception that Kaif’s Hindi was not up to the standard expected of a Bollywood star.
He added that he declined the offer, stating that he prefers to maintain a respectful tone towards fellow artists.
The claim has sparked a debate about the treatment of language proficiency in the entertainment industry, though no official response has been issued by the channels involved.
The incident highlights the pressures faced by television personalities to conform to certain narratives, according to Paul.
