The Tripura government announced plans to develop a digital platform that will unify transport and infrastructure initiatives across the state.
The administration of Tripura has unveiled a proposal to create a centralized digital platform that will bring together all ongoing transport and infrastructure projects. The system is intended to provide real‑time data sharing among the transport department, public works, and other relevant agencies, thereby improving coordination and reducing project delays.
According to the announcement, the platform will be built on modern cloud‑based technology, allowing officials to monitor progress, allocate resources efficiently, and generate transparent reports for stakeholders. By consolidating information, the state aims to attract greater private investment and streamline approvals for new initiatives.
The initiative is part of Tripura's broader push to digitise governance and boost infrastructural development ahead of upcoming fiscal plans. Officials indicated that training for departmental staff and integration with existing state IT systems will commence in the coming weeks.
If successful, the platform could serve as a model for other northeastern states seeking to modernise project management and enhance inter‑departmental collaboration.
