Tripura Secures Rail Delivery of Buffer Onions Ahead of Festive Season

The state of Tripura received a rail shipment of buffer onions on Monday, ensuring a steady supply ahead of the festive season. The cargo, originating from the central market in Delhi, was transported via the New Delhi–Agartala line and delivered to the state’s main wholesale market in Agartala. Officials said the shipment will help stabilize prices and prevent shortages during the high-demand period. The Tripura Agriculture Department welcomed the move, noting that buffer stocks are crucial for maintaining market equilibrium during festivals.
