Tripura police, together with the Narcotics Control Bureau, confiscated eight kilograms of the stimulant Yaba valued at about Rs 3.2 crore and detained three individuals linked to the haul.
Tripura police, in coordination with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), carried out a raid that resulted in the seizure of eight kilograms of Yaba, a methamphetamine-based stimulant. The drug batch has been assessed at a street value of roughly Rs 3.2 crore.
During the operation, authorities apprehended three individuals suspected of involvement in the trafficking network. The suspects are currently in police custody and are being interrogated for further leads.
The joint effort underscores the continued focus of both state and central agencies on curbing the flow of synthetic narcotics in the Northeast region. Officials said the seizure will disrupt a significant supply chain and serve as a deterrent to other traffickers.
No injuries were reported, and the seized Yaba has been handed over to the forensic laboratory for detailed analysis before disposal.
