Tripura MLA Jitendra Chaudhury accuses TTAADC of corruption, says BJP already lost VC polls

Tripura Legislative Assembly member Jitendra Chaudhury publicly alleged that the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) is riddled with corrupt practices. He claimed that irregularities in financial management and procurement have compromised the council's functioning.
Chaudhury further asserted that these malpractices have eroded public confidence in the council and called for a thorough investigation by appropriate authorities.
In addition to the corruption charge, the MLA warned that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already lost the upcoming Village Council (VC) polls in the tribal areas. He said the party's standing has weakened due to the alleged graft and growing anti-incumbency sentiment.
The statements were made ahead of the scheduled VC elections, a key political contest in the region. While opposition parties have echoed concerns about TTAADC's governance, the BJP has not issued an official response to Chaudhury's allegations.
