Tripura Congress has released its full list of candidates for the 49 Agartala municipal wards and said it will not form an alliance with CPI(M) for the upcoming local elections.
Tripura Congress announced today its slate of candidates for all 49 wards of the Agartala Municipal Corporation, signalling a full contest in the forthcoming municipal polls.
The party also stated that it will not pursue any alliance with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) for the AMC elections, emphasizing an independent campaign.
The declaration comes ahead of the election schedule, with the Election Commission expected to announce dates soon. Analysts suggest that Congress’s decision to go solo could alter the political dynamics in Tripura’s capital.
