The Chief Minister of Tripura announced a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief, and lifted the House Rent Allowance to 10% for government staff.

The Chief Minister of Tripura disclosed today that the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for state government employees will be raised by three percent. The move is part of the administration's effort to cushion the impact of rising living costs on its workforce.

In addition to the DA‑DR hike, the government has increased the House Rent Allowance (HRA) from the previous rate to ten percent of basic pay. The revised HRA is expected to benefit a large segment of staff residing in rented accommodations across the state.

The announcement was made during a press briefing in Agartala, where the CM emphasized that the adjustments are aligned with inflation trends and aim to maintain the purchasing power of public servants. Implementation of the new rates is slated to begin from the upcoming salary cycle.

State officials have been instructed to update payroll systems accordingly and to inform employees of the revised allowance structure. No further changes to other salary components were mentioned at the briefing.
